Since its very inception in 1982, Sree Ramakrishna Sevasramam, aimed at making the economically poor and spiritually backward people to elevate themselves and be in comparable position with other section of people and was working in that direction by devising various programmes. Drawing inspiration from the teachings of that “wonderful mixture of God and Man”, Sree Ramakrishna Paramahamsa, the universal mother Sarada Devi and the ever shining star of the spiritual India and the second Sankaracharya, Swami Vivekanada, who said “They alone live who live for others, the rest are more dead than alive”, the sevasramam had marched forward systematically, in the service to the society.
